Properly executed waterproofing is the key to the pool’s long-term functionality. Quality of installation, correctly resolved details, and material compatibility often have a greater impact on longevity than the membrane’s thickness itself. Special attention should be given to critical points such as openings for installations, joints and edge details, because this is where waterproofing is most often lost.

Technical room – pool plant room

A properly sized and ventilated plant room enables safe operation of equipment, facilitates maintenance, reduces the risk of faults and extends the equipment’s lifespan. Special attention should be paid to drainage and moisture protection to reduce the risk of failures. Accessibility, room ventilation, logical layout and the possibility of system upgrades are more important than minimal space savings.

Filtration and circulation

A pool system’s effectiveness does not depend solely on pump power or filter capacity. A large filter and a powerful filtration pump are not a guarantee of good filtration. A properly designed filtration system is crucial for pool cleanliness and the hygienic quality of the pool water. The cross-section and layout of PVC installations, including pipes and fittings, as well as the position of nozzles and skimmers, have a greater impact on system efficiency than the mere amount of installed equipment.

Energy efficiency

Energy-efficient pools do not rely only on modern equipment but on a comprehensive approach, from insulating the structure and pool cover to properly sizing heating and filtration systems. Thoughtful decisions in the planning phase can reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs in the long run.

Maintenance is designed in advance

Ease of maintenance does not happen by chance. It is the result of a considered choice of equipment, accessibility of all key components and clearly defined service points. A system that is easy to maintain is more reliable and economical in the long run.

Automation

Automated dosing and control systems simplify pool maintenance, but they must not and cannot replace a properly designed system. Automation works best when it complements well-established technical fundamentals, not when it tries to correct their shortcomings.

Lighting

Pool lighting contributes to a more pleasant atmosphere and safer use of the pool in the evening hours. Properly chosen position, intensity and colour temperature help visually connect the pool and the surrounding area into a unified whole. Pool lighting should be coordinated with surrounding lighting so the space looks natural, without unpleasant glare or high contrast.

System upgrades

A well-designed pool allows for later upgrades such as heating, dosing automation or additional effects without complex interventions. Timely planning reduces later costs and increases system flexibility. Without appropriate preparation, some upgrades are virtually impossible to implement or require significant additional expense.
